According to the fifth edition of the WHO classification of tumors of the central nervous system (CNS), EGFR amplification and +7/−10 copy number changes (PTEN in chromosome 10) are the parameters for Glioblastoma IDH-wt diagnosis, while CDKN2A/B homozygous deletion is the parameter to diagnose IDH-mutant astrocytoma as WHO CNS grade 4 [47], suggesting that the CNAs in the three genes are related to more aggressive CNS tumors. Here, IDH1 is linked to central nervous system cancer.
