CYP2C19 and coronary artery disorder: In conclusion, the present study showed the relationship between CYP2C19 polymorphisms and MACEs in CAD patients who were taking clopidogrel as a maintenance medication. From our findings, we can infer that the risk of developing recurrent MI (STEMI and NSTEMI) and other MACEs during one and two years of post-PCI is significantly higher in the abnormal phenotypic group (CYP2C19*2 & *3) than in normal patients.
