CXCL10, also known as interferon γ-induced protein 10 (IP-10), is strongly induced by IFNs (IFN-α, IFN-β but mostly IFN-γ) (Karin, 2020; Tannenbaum et al., 1998), as well as by the LPS/NF-κB axis (Ciesielski et al., 2002; Qian et al., 2007) and other immune stimulants in monocytes, endothelial cells, fibroblasts and cancer cells (Tokunaga et al., 2018).
