The upregulated genes in both groups are known to be involved in both cardiac diseases (e.g., “dilated cardiomyopathy,” “hypertrophic cardiomyopathy,” and “arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy”) and metabolic process (e.g., “FoxO signaling pathway,” “insulin resistance”); and the downregulated genes are involved in “steroid biosynthesis,” “fatty acid metabolism,” and “calcium signaling pathway” (Figures 5A–C; Supplementary Figure 7A). This evidence concerns the gene INS and arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy.
