The significant downregulation in CC could be due to circRNA ArfGAP with FG repeats 1 (circAGFG1), which binds to miR-28-5p and targets HIF-1α, thus promoting proliferation, invasion, and migration as well as suppression of apoptosis by escalating glycolysis through circAGFG1/miR-28-5p/HIF-1α axis as observed in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) [199].
