Suppression of the TSLP signaling and lack of basophil-derived IL-4 synthesis was found to inhibit food-induced allergic reaction in the intestine confirming the crucial role of TSLP-basophil-IL-4 axis in epicutaneous sensitization and associated pathogenesis of IgE-mediated food allergy [165,166]. This evidence concerns the gene TSLP and food allergy.
