GPR68 also belongs to the known proton-sensing G protein-coupled receptors involved in pH changes during development of different tumors, e.g., neuroendocrine tumors, pheochromocytomas, cervical adenocarcinomas, endometrial cancers, medullary thyroid carcinomas, and pancreatic adenocarcinomas, whereby often tumor capillaries are strongly GPR68 positive [32]. This evidence concerns the gene GPR68 and pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
