In plasma, four proteins were significantly increased in endometriosis patients, notably the Extracellular Newly identified Receptor for Advanced Glycation End-products binding protein (EN-RAGE—1.63-fold), Chemokine ligand 23 (CCL23—1.22-fold), Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E-binding protein 1 (4E-BP1—1.43-fold) and human Glial-derived Neurotrophic factor (hGDNF—1.12-fold), whereas Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) and TNF-Related Apoptosis Inducing Ligand (TRAIL) were significantly decreased in this patient group. This evidence concerns the gene TNFSF10 and endometriosis.
