Figure 5C confirms that intranasal administration of 25 mg/kg/d and 12.5 mg/kg/d of G-rk1 resulted in significantly reduced mortality compared to the PBS control, with 80% (8/10) and 70% (7/10) survival, respectively, while only 10% of PR8-infected mice survived without treatment. This was accompanied by a comparable decrease in weight loss following PR8 infection in mice treated with 25 and 12.5 mg/kg/d G-rk1 (Figure 5D). On day 4 after PR8 infection, G-rk1 treatment reduced total lung tissue virus titers, consistent with the in vitro results (Figure 5E). Here, GRK1 is linked to infection.
