After stratification by sex and obesity status, we observed the expected differences between men and women with obesity in circulating hepcidin (26.23 ± 16.38 vs. 17.1 ± 10.87 ng/mL, respectively, p = 0.046), and ferritin levels (123 (63.5, 251) vs. 63 (35, 94) ng/mL, respectively, p = 0.02). The gene discussed is HAMP; the disease is obesity disorder.
