Last but not least, LINGO-1 and its signaling partners are also implicated in the pathophysiology of schizophrenia and a number of other neuropsychiatric disorders like depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and drug addiction mainly due to LINGO-1 activating or blocking pathways leading to negative regulation of myelination and neurite outgrowth [98]. Here, LINGO1 is linked to attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder.
