Additionally, Johnson et al. [12] tested the specific IgE levels of food allergens and inhalant allergens in the plasma of IBD patients (n = 29 UC, n = 37 CD) and healthy controls (n = 100) and found that UC patients were more sensitive to both food allergens and inhalant allergens, whereas CD patients were more sensitive to inhalant allergens only.
