Our results showed that the NF-κB pathway was inhibited following GBE1 knockdown in glioma cells, accompanied by elevated FBP1 expression; this paralleled the effects of single NF-κB pathway inhibitors, suggesting that regulation of FBP1 expression by GBE1 via NF-κB is also applicable in glioma. The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
