It has been investigated as a single agent in a phase 2 trial (NCT01253096) in 24 evaluable patients with unresectable stage IIIB/C melanoma and found to generate a CR in 25% at lower doses than non-targeted IL-2 with the most common toxicity being injection site reaction, seen in 76%, with few grade 3 cases [44].
