However, it has been found that MSLN is overexpressed in a variety of cancers [6,7], including malignant mesothelioma [7,8,9,10,11], ovarian cancer [8,11,12,13], breast cancer [14,15,16], pancreatic cancer [8,17,18,19,20], lung cancer [21,22,23], gastric cancer [24,25,26,27], cervical cancer [28], uterine serous cancer [29] and cholangiocarcinoma [30,31]. Here, MSLN is linked to cholangiocarcinoma.
