Silencing ADAMTS9-AS1 was found to induce autophagy and apoptosis by upregulating the LC3-II/I ratio, Beclin-1, Bax, and Caspase 9 levels while decreasing the expression of p62 and Bcl-2 in T24 and 5637 bladder cancer cell lines [116]. This evidence concerns the gene ADAMTS9 and urinary bladder cancer.
