In our study, we showed in ovarian cancer cells that methyl gallate significantly enhanced the expression of stress ligands for DNAM-1 and NKG2D NK cell receptors, i.e. CD112, CD155, MIC-A/B, ULBP-1/2/3, TRAIL-1 (DR4) and TRAIL-2 (DR5) (Fig. 3B, Supplementary Fig. 2B). Here, ULBP1 is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
