In accordance with these results, when HELA and HL-1 cells transfected with a constitutively active mutant of Rap1b, Rap1b-G12V, in which a single point substitution, glycine-to-valine at codon 12 of Rap1b, a significant increase in infection was observed when compared with the control (Fig 3A–3D, respectively).
