MUC1-C enhanced MYC expression in KRAS mutant NSCLC cells via WNT/β-catenin (CTNNB1) pathway activation, forming MUC1-C/β-catenin/TCF4 complexes on the MYC promoter and recruiting the p300 histone acetylase (EP300) to enhance histone H3 acetylation and MYC gene transcription. This evidence concerns the gene KRAS and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
