In the present study we have focused on evaluating the effect of the SRPK1 inhibitor SPHINX (26) on two well-studied and established cell line models of leukaemia; Kasumi-1, representing acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), and K562 representing chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML). The gene discussed is SRPK1; the disease is chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
