CNTN1 and nephrotic syndrome: Among the 432 seronegative patients, 147 (34%) underwent investigation of renal function; in contrast with the seropositive group, only 5/147 (3.4%) of these had features supporting a diagnosis of nephrotic syndrome; (p<0.001, Fisher’s exact test, OR for nephrotic syndrome with CNTN1 antibodies versus seronegative patients = 113.6, 95% CI 11.2 to 169.1).
