There is now a growing list of human single gene defects that cause the classic hyper-IgE phenotypic triad of eczema, recurrent skin and lung infections, and elevated serum IgE (Freeman and Milner, 2020; Vaseghi-Shanjani et al., 2021; Zhang et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene IGHE and Eczematoid dermatitis.
