We observed that many of these genes, including LSC markers (CD96, CD34, CD47, CD82, CD44, CD99 and CD133) and AML-related genes (KIT, FLT3, RUNX1, IKZF2, HGF, SSBP2, FCHSD2, ADGRE2, ERG, MSI2, ZBTB20, ITPR2, ELMO1, MDM4, ZEB2, KDM5B, and CDK6), were associated with AML and were more highly expressed in cluster 12 than in the other clusters (Fig. 4B). This evidence concerns the gene RUNX1 and acute myeloid leukemia.
