Lenalidomide, an immunomodulating agent with anti-neoplastic properties, has been shown to modulate the subtract specificity of CRL4CRBN E3 ubiquitin ligase via ubiquitination of transcription factors, IKZF1 and IKZF3; subsequent proteasomal degradation of these transcription factors kills multiple myeloma cells [10]. This evidence concerns the gene IKZF1 and plasma cell myeloma.
