As a result, we determined two cancer cell types (metastatic and primary) that have as a common network neighbor the lymph node B cells, through genes hmgb1 and b2m. Interestingly, it was shown previously that exosomal hmgb1 promotes hepatocellular carcinoma immune evasion by stimulating TIM-1+ regulatory B cell expansion [35]. The gene discussed is HMGB1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
