Based on ceRNA, Fan et al. (12) found that lncRNA LOC100912373 could upregulate the expression of pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 1 (PDK1), accelerate the phosphorylation of protein kinase B (AKT), induce the proliferation of fibroblast-like synoviocytes by competitively binding to miR-17-5p, and promote the occurrence and development of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). This evidence concerns the gene PDK1 and rheumatoid arthritis.
