RAB11A and cancer: We have recently shown in a range of human cancer cell lines and in the prostate‐like secondary cells (SCs) of the male accessory gland in the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, that exosomes are not only generated in late endosomes, but also in compartments marked by the recycling endosomal trafficking regulator Rab11a (or Rab11 in flies) (Fan et al., 2020).
