HAO1 and cancer: In recent years, starvation therapy has emerged as a promising cancer therapy strategy that suppresses tumor growth by depriving essential nutrients.[31] Glucose oxidase (GOx) catalyzes glucose to hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and accelerates glucose utilization.[32, 33] However, starvation therapies based on GOx are restricted by a lack of targeting.[34, 35, 36] Combining LYTACs with GOx can not only remedy the lack of accurate targeting but also enhance the effect of GOx in cancer starvation therapy.[37, 38, 39]
