MUC16 is the most frequently mutated gene in endometrial cancer (Hu and Sun, 2018), and its oncogenic properties have been investigated in several other cancers such as glioblastoma (Yang C. et al., 2019), gastric cancer (Huang et al., 2021) and colorectal cancer (Björkman et al., 2019). The gene discussed is MUC16; the disease is endometrial cancer.
