To investigate the extent to which CGC+ CD4+ and CGC+ CD8+ T cells differ in cardiometabolic disease conditions (diabetes, pre-diabetes, hypertension, coronary arterial calcium, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, and pericardial fat volume), we measured the frequencies of CGC+ T cells in PBMCs as a proportion of total CD4+ and CD8+ T cells. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
