Conversely, a decrease in ELF3 levels coincided with increase in EMT scores (Fig S1A), thereby highlighting that ELF3 expression levels are higher in epithelial cancer types (PAAD: pancreatic adenocarcinoma, STAD: stomach adenocarcinoma, READ: rectum adenocarcinoma, PRAD: prostate adenocarcinoma, LUAD: lung adenocarcinoma) when compared to mesenchymally-derived cancer types (SARC: sarcoma, LGG: low grade glioma, GBM: glioblastoma) (Fig. 1D). This evidence concerns the gene ELF3 and cancer.
