NFKB1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis: Previous studies have reported the involvement of activated NF-κB pathway in various inflammatory diseases, such as non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)4, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)5, rheumatoid arthritis6, atherosclerosis7, and multiple sclerosis8, and thus, NF-κB is viewed as a propitious therapeutic target in inflammatory diseases9.
