Remarkably, GNG7 has been repeatedly shown to function as a tumor suppressor in many human cancers, including head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, esophageal cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, clear cell renal cell carcinoma, and Hodgkin lymphoma [71–80]. The gene discussed is GNG7; the disease is esophageal cancer.
