The human ether-a-go-go-related gene1 (hERG1) potassium channel (aka KV11.1) regulates p-AKT through the formation of hERG1 integrin and phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase p85 subunit macromolecular complex on the plasma membrane, leading to AKT activation, thus promoting the development of human colorectal cancer cells [18, 19]. The gene discussed is KCNA3; the disease is colorectal cancer.
