SH2D3C and infection: The alphavirus non-structural protein 3 (nsP3) is an integral component of the viral replication complex which is responsible for generating genomic, subgenomic, and negative-sense strands of viral RNA during infection [142,143,144]; however, physical attributes of its disordered C-terminal domain, nsP3 localization beyond that of the replication machinery, and association with different host proteins implicate additional functions that facilitate viral replication [145,146,147,148,149].
