The viral titer in the supernatant from cells transfected with tetherin-X2 was also significantly lower than that in the supernatant from control cells at 12 h (p < 0.05), 24 h (p < 0.05), and 36 h (p < 0.05) post-infection (Figure 5), indicating that tetherin-X2 can also restrict the release of H3N2 CIV GD/2014.
