Concentrations of soluble receptors, such as triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 1 (sTREM-1), receptor for advanced glycation end products (sRAGE), sCD25, suppressor of T cell receptor signaling/soluble interleukin 1 receptor-like 1 (sST2/IL-33R), TNF receptor-I (sTNFR-I), sTNFR-II, as well as CX3CL1 and CXCL12 were highest in severe COVID-19 patients compared to both, healthy controls and non-severe COVID-19 patients. Here, CXCL12 is linked to COVID-19.
