CST1 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma: Moreover, by RT-qPCR of 20 pairs of cancerous tissues and paracancerous tissues of ESCC patients, we also found that the miR-942-5p levels in cancerous tissues were significantly lower than those in paracancerous tissues, which was contrary to the high CST1 expression in cancerous tissues, suggesting that miR-942-5p may have a regulatory effect on CST1 (Fig 7).
