Mutations in CRLF1 or CLCF1 have been linked to cold-induced sweating syndrome, however mutations in CNTF do not induce similar effects (Murakami et al., 2019), although both have been demonstrated to induce expression and phosphorylation of Stat3 (Kassen et al., 2009; Nahlé et al., 2019; Rezende et al., 2009; Savin et al., 2015 which has been shown to be essential in Müller glia for retinal regeneration (Nelson et al., 2012). This evidence concerns the gene CRLF1 and cold-induced sweating syndrome.
