Since the topical application of imiquimod (18, 19), a ligand of TLR7 and TLR8, has been shown to causes a psoriasis-like pathology in mouse skin through the activation of dermal DCs and Langerhans cells (20), we expect β-damascone to ameliorate psoriasis, even from the viewpoint of modifications to DC functions. This evidence concerns the gene TLR7 and psoriasis.
