The GEPIA-based analysis (Tang et al., 2017) showed that eight out of 29 genes i.e., ABCA1, ABCC3, HMGCR, LDLR, PCSK9, PGR, PLA2G7, and SCARB1, can significantly discriminate between CRC tumors and normal tissues (Figure 3C; Table 2). This evidence concerns the gene ABCC3 and colorectal carcinoma.
