The ATP Binding Cassette transporter (ABCC) subfamily of ABCA1 and ABCC3, as potential targets for ezetimibe (Figure 3), reported of intervening the drug resistance in cancers (Wang and Smith, 2014; Grube et al., 2018; Belisario et al., 2020; Ramírez-Cosmes et al., 2021; Gao et al., 2022), thus providing evidence for the possibility of using ezetimibe in CRC adjuvant therapy. This evidence concerns the gene ABCA1 and cancer.
