The GEPIA-based analysis (Tang et al., 2017) showed that eight out of 29 genes i.e., ABCA1, ABCC3, HMGCR, LDLR, PCSK9, PGR, PLA2G7, and SCARB1, can significantly discriminate between CRC tumors and normal tissues (Figure 3C; Table 2). The gene discussed is ABCA1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
