Several currently available antiepileptic drugs are contraindicated in Lennox-Gastaut syndrome because they may cause a worsening of seizures (Genton, 2000), including carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, and pregabalin, which have been detected occasionally in single serious CBD-related ICSRs in the EudraVigilance database. The gene discussed is OPN1MW; the disease is Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.
