An increase in serum FSH levels was linked to a 22.6% lower risk of MetS only in postmenopausal women (OR: 0.774; 95% CI: 0.646, 0.929; and P= 0.006), but not in premenopausal women (P= 0.524) and perimenopausal women (P= 0.355). The gene discussed is BRD2; the disease is metabolic syndrome.
