Upon further examination, we found that T1-44 treatment had a striking impact on the infiltrating T lymphocyte population in the tumour micro-environment (TME), most clearly evidenced by the influx of cytotoxic CD8 and a modest increase in helper CD4 T lymphocytes (Fig. 1E); on other relevant cell populations, like tumour-associated macrophages (detected by anti-CD163 immuno-staining), the effect of T1-44 treatment was minimal (Fig. 1E).
