This is the first study to find that LicA could have potent anti-proliferative and anti-metastatic effects on malignant RCC cells through decreased phosphorylation of Src/FAK, inhibited expression of Sp1, and increased expression of LC3B in succession (Figure 8), highlighting the potential of LicA to lead to new therapies for advanced or metastatic RCC. This evidence concerns the gene SP1 and renal cell carcinoma.
