While the role of LDLR in maintaining tumour growth and proliferation has been well established in other cancers such as breast, lung, and gynaecological malignancies for decades, its role in malignant gliomas has not been extensively researched and evidence surrounding it is limited despite high grade gliomas being a leading cause of cancer related deaths worldwide [16,22,29]. The gene discussed is LDLR; the disease is glioma.
