CRP and Increased total leukocyte count: The cultivation of the Gram-negative bacteria (n = 12) from the recipient’s bronchial aspirates was associated with higher CRP values on the 6th and 7th day after surgery (8.44-11.49 mg/dL versus 2,35–3.35 mg/dL, p < 0.05) and leukocytosis on the 5th and 6th days (15.63–16.62 × 103/μL versus 11.88–12.79 × 103/μL, p < 0.05).
