Similar but weaker results were obtained from robust regression models: the beta coefficient was −0.53 (SE: 0.20, p-value = 0.01) for DAS28-CRP and −1.61 (SE: 1.12, p-value = 0.15) for SDAI in the more severe RA variant, with p-values for heterogeneity across strata equal to 0.66 and <0.001, respectively. The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is rheumatoid arthritis.
