Briefly, a genetic score of ABCG5/ABCG8, variants which predict a 1 mmol/L (39 mg/dL) increase in non-HDL-C, is associated with 2-fold increase in risk of coronary heart disease (CHD) [odds ratio (OR) 2.01, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.75–2.31]. Here, ABCG5 is linked to coronary artery disorder.
