ESR1 and breast cancer: Figure 4a reveals that high expression of FOXA1 is associated with a worse prognosis. This low prognosis was consistent when each subtype of breast cancer—TNBC (n = 126), ER/PR–positive (n = 2005), and HER2-positive (n = 30)—was analyzed individually, as shown in Figure 4b–d. Furthermore, another analysis of the TCGA breast cancer dataset from cBioPortal showed that patients with a mutated FOXA1 had a lower survival rate than those without a FOXA1 mutation (Figure 5).
